1. acceptance of terms
by accessing or using pay pls. ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these terms of service. if you don't agree, please don't use the app. no hard feelings.
2. what pay pls. does
pay pls. is a tool that helps friend groups track shared expenses and figure out who owes what. we don't process payments, transfer money, or act as a financial institution. we just do the math.
3. your account
you're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. if someone else uses your account, that's on you. please use a password that isn't "password123".
4. acceptable use
don't use pay pls. for anything illegal, fraudulent, or generally uncool. don't try to break the app, scrape our data, or use it to spam people. be decent.
5. content and data
you own the data you put into pay pls. (expense descriptions, group names, etc.). we don't sell your data to advertisers. see our privacy policy for the full scoop.
6. the app "as is"
we try our best to keep pay pls. running smoothly, but we can't promise it'll be perfect 100% of the time. the app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. if the app miscalculates a split, please double check before sending angry texts.
7. limitation of liability
pay pls. is not responsible for disputes between friends about money. we're a calculator with personality, not a mediator. if splitting the bill ruins your friendship, that's between y'all.
8. changes to terms
we may update these terms from time to time. if we make significant changes, we'll let you know through the app. continued use of pay pls. after changes means you accept the new terms.
9. termination
you can delete your account anytime. we can also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. if we do, we'll try to give you a heads up first.
